I remember a time where everything was serene and simple... when I could go outside, breathe the fresh air, and gaze upon the cloudless sky
Ah, childhood memories where everything was innocent, and things made sense - even if I didn't fully understand them
The cruel path of time has allowed complexity to step in and erode all that was pure
What was once pleasant is now an endurance :
what was once innocent has become corrupted
Complexity has turned my life into a chore
a balancing act, if you will, and now I understand all too well
I often long for the days I vaguely remember,
a place where freedom wasn't a concept in my mind
Complexity is a prison we all grow into, while simplicity is executed at the gallows
I pray to be with my sweet simplicity again in the next life
