I am the black sheep of the family
A secret not to be told.
Born out of wedlock
In days of old.
Love children were looked down upon
And made to feel ashamed
By parents whom were to blame.
But how can this be so painful
So hurtful to the child
Who never asked to be here
But was often told
That they were unwanted
And most times felt alone
But now the times have changed
And the sheeps coats are all the same
For children are no longer
A lone black sheep in the crowd.
A secret not to be told.
Born out of wedlock
In days of old.
Love children were looked down upon
And made to feel ashamed
By parents whom were to blame.
But how can this be so painful
So hurtful to the child
Who never asked to be here
But was often told
That they were unwanted
And most times felt alone
But now the times have changed
And the sheeps coats are all the same
For children are no longer
A lone black sheep in the crowd.
