Fame at a Young Age | A Poem by Sebastian

There are many people who are quite capable of handling fame from a very young age. It may be argued that many might get success get to their heads, and this might prevent them from handling situations rationally. Usually, adults see more of life and are thus more level-headed in terms of dealing with different situations appropriately.

With fame comes responsibility, and many youngsters are not initially ready to take responsibility. When you become famous, your actions impact others, and you have to be prepared for the consequences. A negative impact is likely to have undesirable consequences, and both tact and maturity are needed to handle such a situation.

Child stars who go on to become famous teenagers are sometimes better prepared to handle the impact of fame on their personal lives. Miley Cyrus was a successful Disney star who went on to become a pop sensation. Such stars can usually handle the press and paparazzi better than a teenager who suddenly becomes huge.

Young famous stars cannot do everything other adolescents do. They have to be careful, as it is very likely they will be followed almost everywhere they go. It is difficult for them to enjoy life as a normal young person. They might regret this when they hit mid-age.

Many feel that people should not be very famous till they are of a certain age. This is rather unfair in my opinion. Qualities, rather than age, are a much better determinant of fame and success. If you want to and are able to become famous as a teenager, make the best out of it, but be prepared for at least some backlash. If you want to grow up like others in your society, ensure you expose as little of your private life as possible.
