Cosmetic Effect

You want to rehearse
for the pain, which
does't stop after burning
the midnight lamp.

When I am not
myself, I think of you.

Sometimes it was difficult
for me to look at me
from your doused eyes.

You are like
honeysuckle, opening
up in dark to seek the
protection from unknown.

Evil and good
were in league,
two poles apart, hot and cold
going together, hand in hand.

Now you want
to go beyond the stars
to test my prophecy.
