The sky is blue
The flowers bloom
The tree casts a shadow that cools me
The woodpecker pecks and pecks looking to feed
The stars in the sky can be counted to pass the time
I think over and over never endless thoughts flood my mind
I try to hard to calm these sounds bouncing around inside my skull
Where is the relief?
Where is the calm before the storm?
I shout
I pray
I beg for silence but here I stay as if it were the norm
If this is the calm then I can only wonder if the storm will land or pass me by
All of this keeps me awake all night
All of this blinds my sight
How will this all end?
I can practically see it around the bend
Here it comes, here's the end
Will I bend? or will I break...?
Please tell me now before my mind finally escapes.
