There you were seated as I imagined you would be
Unable to move your eyes from mine
There you were, happier than usual.
Taking digs at me as always.
The waiter came and lit the candle,
Staring at my love-sick crush (you)
We winked at each other
He gently placed the menu in front of me.
We both ordered though you took a little more time
I kept waiting for the food
While your incessant gaze amused me.
