"Why are you doing this
why don't you just stop
and apologize?"

But baby,
why am I doing this?
I am the animal
untameable.

I am the scorpion
who stings
this is my nature

But baby,
why don't I just stop?

It's time you learn
some things can't be stopped

If you build a dam
water will rumble and
rise over it

The flood is cruel

But baby,
why don't I just apologize?
I haven't sharpened these teeth
into blades
to say sorries

I don't hide knives in my mouth
to be sweet to you
